Ricardo Seah

Photographer and Lead Photo-Guide

Ricardo is a self-taught photographer from Singapore who has been based in Vancouver for the past 7 years. He possesses over 10 years of experience in the field and has had work published everywhere from Nat geo to Narcity and other local magazines. Although Ricardo considers himself a photography generalist, he loves landscape and travel photography and it’s a passion he shares on Photowalks. He believes that a good photographer seeks out rarely seen or unique images either by exploring new angles, places and subjects or by shooting something everyone has seen before in a way that has yet to be seen. When he isn’t busy taking photos he can be found working on his tech side project, an app called “WorkBriefly”. Oh and his party trick is being able to “code-switch” (speak in different accents naturally) but you can ask him about that on a photowalk.

Garry Johns

Photoguide

“Let me start by saying that I’ve had a passion for photography since before many of you were born.  I’m not old, I’m knowledgeable!  Many years of experience in the photography world has given me a wealth of knowledge and I thoroughly enjoy sharing that knowledge with budding photographers such as yourself.  Whether that includes learning how to use your camera and lenses, how to compose your subject material or whatever medium you like to shoot in.  Perhaps its B&W, Street, Action, Night, Long Exposure, Macro or landscape photography I can encourage you to see beyond basic subject material and produce photos that you will be proud to share with friends or on social media.  I can even get you started with my easy-to-learn Lightroom instruction, which I have perfected over the years.  In short, I make photography FUN! “
